The legal requirements depend on the company, the country of the company, the location of the audience and the website itself. The basic obligations of the website owner in the EU is displayed here. Cookies

Imprint

Every business website needs a so-called “imprint” with information about the identity and contact details of the website provider. It must be accessible with 2 clicks. Further mandatory information arises from the Digital Service Act.

Data protection

The obligation to provide a data protection declaration and its scope results from the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Sample data protection declarations are linked here:

terms of use

As soon as users can carry out interactions, terms of use are required. The user must agree to the terms of use when registering. At jurarat.de, the terms of use are well described and an example is presented.

Cookies

Please look in the "masterdata/_init.php". There is the cookie mode (domain_cookiemode) defined:

  1. no cookie
  2. ask for cookie
  3. cookie allowed
  4. cookie denied

The variable domain_cookieconf[<country>] defines:

  • title, example: Use of cookies
  • text: the description of the use of cookies
  • allow: text for allow
  • deny: text for deny

Imprint, Privacy policy, Terms of use

Please look in the "_init_page.php" for the global variable pages[<page>]. Here are the page names defined:

  • Imprint: legalnotice
  • Privacy policy: privacypolicy
  • Terms of use: termsofuse

The variable pages[<page>] configures the source of the content:

  • Imprint, file: _legalnotice.php
  • Privacy policy: table k8pages, marking=privacypolicy
  • Terms of use: table k8pages, marking=termsofuse

The user "superuser" reaches the pages by menu "Admin / Pages". The privacy policy and the terns of use can be edited there.
